Scooter Insanity!
Scooters are getting ever more popular in Seattle. And this weekend is the 18th annual Seattle Scooter Insanity rally in Georgetown and around town. Seattlest will be there with our Vespa and mod attitude to ride with the best of them. Starting on Friday, July 1, there will be events across the city for vintage and modern scooter enthusiasts alike. The itinerary includes:
1. Friday 5pm. Causing a scene at Vespa Seattle on Denny
2. Friday 6pm. Offending the general public at Hale’s Brewery in Ballard
3. Saturday 10:30am. Crisis Stabilization breakfast.
4. Saturday country excursions.
5. Saturday 3pm. Kickin back at Big People Scooters at the street festival in Georgetown.
6. Saturday 9pm. Live music at the High Dive in Fremont.
7. Sunday 10:30am. Breakfast for the criminally insane.
8. Sunday all day. Excursion to Vashon Island
9. Sunday night. Dinner at Tangletown in Wallingford.
10. Monday 12pm. Potluck at Victor’s House on Monday afternoon.
11. Monday 3pm. General frolicking on the scooters all day on Monday.
12. Monday 10pm. Meet up at Ducati of Seattle for free scooter parking to watch fire works on Lake Union.
All those scooter clubs will be represented: the Belladonnas, Los Gatos Gordos, The Wussys, and many more. You don’t have to own a scooter to support this growing Seattle trend. More information and pictures from last year.
