Cooking Under Fire: Week 8

After a two-week hiatus in episodes, Seattleites have gone from two out of six contestants on Cooking Under Fire to one out of five--local chef Jean-Paul Abernathy was 86'd for flying under the radar. Given that his role in this episode was to function as part of a team, his thoughts on his elimination are understandably bitter.

Autumn, the show's last remaining Seattleite, didn't get much air time, but the judges praised her performance. Oddly, though they've expressed concerns about her leadership capabilities in the past, they didn't put her in a leadership role.

New York/Kentucky chef Katie still seems to be getting the winner's edit--the judges chose her as a team captain, and the producers included a lot of her commentary. And Autumn notes that "Katie kicks ass!" in her online journal.
