Apparently, there is something out there called 'nature.' It has trees and birds and such things. We are a little scared of it. If you, on the other hand, are more intrepid than we are and you also happen to enjoy the indie rock, head over to the Gorge Amphitheater tomorrow to see the Sasquatch Music Festival. As you most likely know, the lineup features the Pixies, Wilco, Modest Mouse, Kanye West, the Dears, Arcade Fire, the Bloc Party and more. The lineup is awesome, but we are a little biased towards ceilings, walls and climate control, but that's just us.
If you also enjoy nature and aren't into the rock, you might want to see Snoop and the Game at the White River Amphitheater tomorrow night. The Game is the young up-and-comer who has taken the hip-hop world by storm and we are pretty sure there are only three people in the world who have not heard of Snoop and they do not use computers. We like to think of their relationship as similar to the one between Burt Reynolds and Jan-Michael Vincent in 'Hooper' where the young upstart forces the veteran to up his game to win the affections of Sally Field. (Okay, we made up the Sally Field part).
Tonight, the best show in town is the Camper Van Beethoven show at the Sunset Tavern. Maybe, it's cause we are a little bit nerdy and also a closet Fleetwood Mac fan, but we really enjoy watching Camper Van Beethoven perform.
If you feel like staying home and enjoying music in convenient digital form, this site has the latest albums from Spoon, Malkmus, Oasis, Mike Watt and Teenage Fanclub for your streaming pleasure. (Streaming pleasure would be a really good name for a metal band made up of Real employees.)
