Even More Showdogs

Previously on Showdog Moms and Dads: Seattle's own Brandon and Ryan took Liberace to L.A. and had a great big fight.

Liberace had the cast removed from his little tiny leg, and continues to prove himself the shrillest, nippiest, most unpleasant of yippy little dogs. The guys took him to pool therapy, where a well-paid woman in a wetsuit helped him swim around the pool. (Seriously, who knew there was such a wide range of pet pampering services in Seattle?) Ryan made us crack up: Liberace refrained from biting the physical therapist, so Ryan complimented him by saying "Bravo, Chachi!" and then announced that telling him "bravo" was part of teaching the dog Italian.

Next the guys drove the dogs down to Oregon for Brandon's first attempt at a dog show. Total disaster, as usual, ending with another long shot of Brandon weeping in the car, but breaking from his cry to apply Chapstick, then returning to his cry. He did win our heart--ever so briefly, we're really Ryan sympathizers--by referencing Best in Show: "We're going to be just like those people with the fucking Busy Bee!" Then he worries that they'll "be fighting the rest of our lives about stupid shit" and Ryan's responds, "Maybe we will be, but we'll be together!"

Then we complete our usual mood swing and have a going-away party at the W, including the presentation of a tiny, mirror-covered piano for their dog.

In other Showdog news: Connie and George hired an "animal communicator" to read their dogs' minds. Moira continued to crush the spirit of her son Adam. Kyra took Chalcy hunting, bagged a bird, and employed the huskiest, craziest yell to get Chalcy to "come." Lourdes hid out from Hurricane Frances and got the bad news that her German shepherd can't be impregnated.

Scenes from next week: The five families meet up in Philadelphia for the climactic dog show! We'll take bets on which person or dog Liberace bites first.

Ryan's feather-boas-for-dogs business is on the web here.

Catch Showdog Moms and Dads Wednesday nights at 10 on Bravo.
