Showdogs Recap
Previously on Showdog Moms and Dads: Brandon and Ryan's little Liberace broke his leg and had surgery.
Brandon and Ryan took Alaska Airlines down to LA so that Ryan's company, High Maintenance Bitch, could have a booth at the Emmy Awards. The guys took a walk on the beach in Malibu, where Brandon fell obsessively in love with a very large house, then busted out with the quote of the night: "Do they have tides here?"
But Brandon didn't stop there. His runner-up quote of the night was to say that he expected it to be a good weekend with Ryan, "because neither of us can run away and go home if we get in a fight. We're stuck with each other." Cut to the fight, later that night. Cut to Brandon storming down a random street in LA, rolly suitcases behind him, Liberace in his backpack. Brandon's threatening to walk to airport. Ryan's crime, we guess, was smoking a cigarette.
To their credit, the cops weren't called this time. Ryan called Brandon a cab; Brandon returned, whining about his blisters. Brandon then whined because he was upset that Ryan cuddled Liberace upon their return. Brandon then chased Ryan to get the dog, then we cut to Brandon storming off again (although in a different direction this time!), rolly suitcases behind him, presumably heading back to the airport. Ryan chases him in the car, they make up, then Brandon comes up with his second-runner-up quote of the night: "At least I walked off dinner tonight."
We are currently suffering from drama exhaustion.
The next day the boys met celebrities at the Emmys swagfest, which seemed to make everything okay.
In other Showdog news: Connie and George took the cremains of their whippet, Bub, to a pet cemetery. Moira visited her father's gravesite; she made Adam stay in the car while she took one of her dogs into the crypt. Kyra bought a shotgun so she could go hunting with her dog; then tried showing her dog. Lourdes teetered around in her high heels both at dog shows and hiding out from a hurricane.
Scenes from next week: Weeping Brandon at the wheel after what looks like a dog-show wipeout.
Ryan's feather-boas-for-dogs business is on the web here.
