Are some Sonics adopting the labor tactics of 1930's autoworkers' unions?
Last week, several Sonics chided Ray Allen and Vladimir Radmanovic for taking bad shots. Now, neither Allen nor Radmanovic are taking any shots, because both of them are "injured."
Radmanovic's injury is the most serious. A stress fracture in his right calf bone will keep him out four to six weeks. Allen sprained his ankle Sunday against the Lakers. He missed most of that game and is doubtful for tonight.
Danny Fortson, whose yearlong feud with our nation's basketball referees now has him getting ejected from practice games, is injured, as is mercurial center Jerome James. Both are expected to return tonight.
Rashard Lewis, by contrast, has played all season with knee tendinitis.
With Allen out, the scoring load falls on the slender shoulders of Ronald "Flip" Murray. He will likely start tonight against the Milwaukee Bucks. Buy tickets. And keep an eye out for Wobblies.

Friendly Folk-Pop for the Kids: Hey Marseilles at Vera This Saturday

The Sonics, united, can never...okay, they'd probably still lose to the Spurs.
That Fortson story is hilarious! Maybe he was just practicing his referee-berating technique. I mean, Nate said these are pressure games, so you want to bring your A-attitude to the court with you, and not make the same insult mistakes you made early in the season.
