Commercial Interruption

the_tag.jpgThe team is working out at Spring Training, but it'll be some time before we see the fruits of that labor. The results are in on the marketing team's hard offseason work, though. This year's Mariner's commercials have been revealed and are online for your viewing pleasure.

The new crop of Mariners commercials are built around a home shopping theme that offers viewers the chance to buy "The Tag", "The Batter's Box", "The Long Ball" or "The Balk", among others. No word on how many easy payments are required for "The Pennant."

While you're at the Mariners site, why not check out some the old commercials as well? Edgar's "Clapper" commercial and the "Translation" bit are both available on the 2004 page. You'll have to go back to 2003 for the "Ichiro Shift", Freddie Garcia's "Casual," and the Randy Winn Lose or Draw ad.

Also worth seeing is the discussion of the commercials at U.S.S. Mariner.
