Everyone has a digital camera or cameraphone these days, right? For all those professional amateur photographers wandering around Seattle desperately needing an outlet--Flickr is it.
If you are reading Seattlest, you probably already know about Flickr, but we must emphasize how cool we are it is.
Thus, we introduce Flickr Seattle, the first installment in a series that looks at our city through the eyes, cameras and cameraphones of hundreds of silly Flickrs. We are obviously not original - taking our cue from Gothamist, who already uses Flickr on a regular basis to point out cool things about NY.
Our first look will be at Seattle's most notable landmark, the 605- foot tall Space Needle. Go see the 1962 World's Fair creation (history) here at Flickr's Space Needle photos. A few interesting photos from Flickr users - Clonny, johannal, joshc, cahernan and coolmel.
For a broader glimpse into the many other Seattle landmarks and to get a sense of our city's image, check out Flickr user p_d_gibson's Seattle photoset.
