If you're looking for unconditional love today, you needn't go farther than your couch. Tonight is opening night of Westminster, the ne plus ultra of dog shows.

Tonight at 8 pm on USA: the Working, Terrier, Toy, and Non-Sporting groups. Tomorrow night, same time, the Sporting, Hound, and Herding groups, as well as Best in Show.

Fans of the film should tune in to see the real deal. Sadly, Joe Garagiola (the baseball-catcher-turned-dog-show-commentator on whom Seattlest contends the Fred Willard character was based) no longer co-hosts.

If mutts are more your style, the King County Humane Society is extending its hours tonight, until 9 pm, in hopes of doing some matchmaking. Their website is down, but here's a road map to your one true love.
