Updating the Quiznos Qid

Dawna Lentz, the Quiznos manager forced by circumstances to go it alone the last few weeks appears ready to ride her accomplishment straight to the good life in Quiznos upper management.

If this were an 80's movie she'd have already been introduced to her new secretary and thrown her pumps up next to the nameplate on her desk with all of the Emerald City arrayed far below.

"She's shown loyalty to Quiznos like no other employee has," corporate spokeswoman Stacie Lange said yesterday. "Her ability to keep that store afloat through a very difficult time needs to be commended."

Lentz has been invited to the Quiznos headquarters in Denver to meet the company president and train to be certified as a manager. (Oh my God, you're going to DENVER!) Seattlest can only imagine the handshaking and photo posing that will ensue in the mile-high city.

"I didn't expect people to come to me at the restaurant and offer me jobs," she said.

Will she follow up on any of the offers?

"I don't know," she said. "I'm not going to jump into something without thinking about it first."
