New Search in Town

msn.jpgSeattlest is very vain. You probably don't know that about us, but it's true. In fact, we devote many many man-hours around the Seattlest Compound to simply staring blissfully at the site, only suffering interruptions to post occasionally or get more coffee. An activity we like second only to reading our own site, though, is searching for our own site at Google. Oh, the things we find (Ok, not much so far). We may love Google nearly as much as we love Seattlest.

But Google's way down south there somewhere--more SFist territory than Seattlest. We like to give props to local artists, musicians, businesses and technologists. We like the independent cafe on the corner and the family-owned yacht detailer off Lake Union. The local boy made good, you know? Seattlest works hard to dig these up and offer them to you as local merchants to be adored and respected, so in that light we introduce to you a tiny local outfit you'll be hearing a lot of in the next few years: Microsoft! You heard it here first.

The folks in Redmond are set to launch another sure winner from their perennial line of There's No Good Thing We Can't Make Worse products. MSN Search! An advertising tsunami is headed to a television near you so stack sandbags around the entertainment center and roll up the rugs.

Regretfully, a MSN search of "Seattlest" is no where near as satisfying as the same at Google. Until that changes, we're sticking with what works. Local pride only goes so far here at Seattlest.
